Social Networking 101 (Twitter) -Eazy

There's never anything positive poppin' in these Twitter streets, people dont wanna here about success or goals, shit is boring, so that basically sets the basis for these Social Networking 101 posts. What better a way to start it off than with the Bow Wow slander that made homie bitch up and threaten to delete his account...   ( -̩̩̩͡˛ -̩̩̩͡ ) ( -̩̩̩͡˛ -̩̩̩͡ )

Struggle Bars -Brey

Ok so Struggle Bar Tuesdays.... We've been tortured with some horrific verses in 2011 and the verse I'm about to put may very well take the cake ALREADY for Struggle Verse of the Year. Who might i be talking about?

Yes, your Basedness himself...Lil fuckin B. I OFF TOP don't like this nigga, but i do respect his hustle. However I can't condone this bullshit. I refuse to give this nigga the glory of putting him in the same category as Nas, Jay-Z, and Em as a rapper. He recently was featured on Lil Wayne's mixtape "Sorry 4 the Wait", which in itself was not a great mixtape, but still....he got in the boof(yes nigga, boof) with Wayne and proceeded to spit these treacherous blocks of ice:

Yeah I do my thang, bitch wassup?
Young BasedGod, came in with the ballers
Iced out chain, bitch
I'm rich off that same shit
See 5 hoes on my dick, bitch, it's Christmas
Straight Westside, Bay Area
Bitch, I'll graze em
Gritty boy shit, BasedGod from the angles
On like a cradle and you niggas can't stop me
Shouts out to Mack Maine getting rich and cocky.
Bitches still Westside
Shouts out to Weezy
Young BasedGod with that .55 heater
187 bitch, I put it to 11 bitch
With that tiny shirt mane
And the tiny pants mane
I'm on BasedWorld and I f-ck with cash Money my niggas.
Don't understand man
The game like a chain
Woo woo! Swag, bitch, Brang-dang-dang man
Off the top, I'm a Wolfpack hitter
My life just a painting
And I paint you a picture, mane
Thing about it: a young paid-ass nigga
This that stunt music: bitch, I just do's it
It's Lil B and I'll muthaf-ckin prove it
We runnin'

I Admit that when he said the first bar i thought he was gonna mer-who am i kidding? It's Lil B....this is absolutely not a surprise but he really scraped the bottom of the barrel with this....for Lil Wayne. I wish i could've been a fly on the wall and seen Wayne's sober face while watching Lil B spit.Smfh Aiight I won't rant all day about him cause he's not exactly lyrical royalty.

Best Rappers (Storytelling) -Eazy

Aight yo before I get started, my homie Brey already wrote out the guidelines for these rappers posts. ITS ALL OPINION so I already know that not everyone will agree, feel free to comment tho lol

Storytelling has always been a big thing with me when it comes to rap. Its most definitely one of my favorite categories. The skill of being able to paint a vivid picture where people from all over, with all different backgrounds, can relate/understand, is just a magnificent talent. Anyone can spit about the money they have or the bitches they pull, but it takes an artist with true skill to be able to spit an actual story through the mic, that the audience can vibe to. With that being said this post is gonna lay out my top 3 storytellers in the rap game.

Eminem

Here's my number one and let me start by saying, I will not argue with any of you niggas...Eminem is hands down the best storyteller in the game. Although his best story tracks may have been driven by hate for his wife, the shit is dope as hell. "Kim" dead ass had me thinking I was an accomplice to a murder b. The description and detail had me feeling as if I was in some way involved. They way he lays out that story track is crazy from beginning to end.  Its similar to a movie where you can't wait to see what's next, each verse has that suspense effect. Its the same with "Stan" and "97 Bonnie & Clyde". He took his situations in life, good and bad, and turned them into straight genius tracks. Em may in fact be a psycho...but homie is definitely greatest in the game at painting the picture. My favorite verse from his story tracks is the first verse from "97 Bonnie & Clyde"

"C'mon Hai-Hai, we going to the beach
Grab a couple of toys and let da-da strap you in the car seat
Oh where's mama? She's taking a little nap in the trunk
Oh that smell? Da-da musta runned over a skunk
Now I know what you're thinking - it's kind of late to go swimming
But you know your mama, she's one of those type of women
That do crazy things, and if she don't get her way, she'll throw a fit
Don't play with da-da's toy knife, honey, let go of it (no!)
And don't look so upset, why you acting bashful?
Don't you wanna help da-da build a sand castle? (yeah!)
And mama said she wants to show how far she can float
And don't worry about that little boo-boo on her throat
It's just a little scratch - it don't hurt, her was eating
Dinner while you were sweeping and spilled ketchup on her shirt
Mama's messy isn't she? We'll let her wash off in the water
And me and you can pway by ourselves, can't we?"

My Favorite story tracks by Em are
  • "97 Bonnie & Clyde"
  • "Stan"
  • "Kim"
  • "The Way I Am"
  • "Guilty Conscience"
  • "Yellow Brick Road"
Nas

Yessir!! Nasty Nas himself...Niggas can say what they want about the homie Nas personal decisions ( -̩̩̩͡˛ -̩̩̩͡ ), but when it comes to the art of storytelling, Nas has this shit wrapped up. My favorite track by far is "I gave you power". If you havent heard it, head over to youtube on the double... When hearing this man rap from the perspective of a gun, a fucking inanimate object, I was amazed. Homie outstandingly personified this gun, gave it actual feelings, a thought process and everything... Made me wanna just put away my choppa right then and there. Here's a verse from the track...

"Always I'm in some shit, my abdomen is the clip
The barrel is my dick, uncircumcised
Pull my skin back and cock me, I bust off when they unlock me
Results of what happens to niggas shock me
I see niggas bleedin runnin from me in fear, stunningly tears
Fall down the eyes of these so-called tough guys, for years
I've been used in robberies, givin niggas heart to follow me
Placin peoples in graves, funerals made cause I was sprayed
I was laid in a shelf, with a grenade
Met a wrecked-up tech with numbers on his chest that say
Five-two-oh-nine-three-eight-five and zero
Had a serial defaced, hopin one day, police would place
Where he came from, a name or some sort of person to claim him
Tired of murderin, made him wanna be a plain gun
But yo I had some other plans, like the next time the beef is on
I make myself jam right in my owner's hand"

You may sit back and front like its a simple task but lets be real, some of you still cant pee without the toilet seat up b... Nas is dumb underrated and if you disagree then jump over to your local music pirating website, download It Was Written and make plans to change your top 5.
My favorite Story tracks by him are...
  • "I Gave You Power"
  • "One Love"
  • "Undying Love"
  • "Last Real Nigga Alive"
  • "Rewind"
Lupe

For some reason, Lupe has had the hardest time getting his foot into the door of the rap game. Although he spits flames people just weren't accepting him, homie even said he was gonna quit a couple times. Im glad he didn't because Mr. Kick, Push himself has definitely solidified himself as one of the greatest storytellers in the game. I cant lie I don't really fuck with Lasers like that, but The Cool and Food & Liquor are fucking classics... The Cool is probably the greatest collection of story tracks that I've heard to this day. Lupe has a dope gift of putting himself in other people's shoes and telling the story from that point of view. "Little Weapon" shows a great display of the homie's skill. Peep the first verse...

"I killed another man today
Shot him in his back as he ran away
Then I blew up his hut with a hand grenade
Cut his wife throat as she put her hands to pray
"Just five more dogs, then we can get a soccer ball"
That's what my commander say
How old - well I'm like ten, eleven
Been fightin since I was like six, or seven
Now I don't know much about where I'm from
But I know I strike fear everywhere I come
Government want me dead so I wear my gun
I really want the rocket launcher but I'm still too young
This candy give me courage not to fear no one
To feel no pain and hear no tongue
So I hear no screams and I shed no tear
If I'm in your dreams, then your end is near"

I wont go any further about this mans narrating genius because I know how kids hate to read these days, I will throw you a heavy arsenal of dope story tracks to listen to though...
  • "Little Weapon"
  • "All Black Everything"
  • "Hip Hop Saved My Life"
  • "Kick, Push II"
  • "The Coolest"
  • "Superstar"
  • "Gotta Eat"
  • "Intruder Alert"
  • "Cool"
Its been real... feel free to comment with your top 3, long as you don't come with any outlandish shit like Soulj...nvmind
Oh yea...and remember... if her twitter bio says "Free Lil Boosie" she's a heaux...#Fact

Best Rappers Pt. 1- Brey

Ok First off let me get this across: ANY MUSICAL STATEMENTS MADE ARE PURELY OPINIONATED, unless talking about album sales of course. I could say right now that Waka Flocka is the best rapper out and it'd be as true as saying Jay-Z is because it's an Opinion. But don't go saying i said Waka was the be-nevermind.

Fact is THERE IS NO BEST RAPPER ALIVE yep mmhmmm I'll let that sink in. People are good at different things so i choose to break it down by category....every now and then I'll do a best rapper segment breaking down by category who I think is the best in said category. Let's start with...

Best Storyteller

Lupe Fiasco

Yep.... The "Obama is a terrorist" cool nerdy hipster himself. After hearing Food and Liquor and The Cool, and even some of his earlier works, i could make a strong argument for this point. Lupe was spitting like a fucking genius during that time period. His sheer vocabulary combined with the hard hitting metaphors really solidify him as the creme de la creme in the Rap game at storytelling. In "Theme Music to a Drive-By"he says,

"hello my name stickers on the stickers of the veins
in rehab remembering the feelings when they used to get mellow
when they was all back of a nigga like monachello
when the underworld had to be smarter than donatello
no honor amongst fellows
it's harder than sittin with a blind man and tryin to describe yellow"

Now to you this may be sup par, average, hell even wack but when I first heard the blind man yellow line i lost it. Lupe really had me in the crib perplexed for days trying to figure out how i could even start to describe yellow to a blind man. Smh i could go on and on but I'll just give you some of his top Story songs

In no particular order:
1. "Theme Music to a Drive By"
2. "The Cool"
3. "The Coolest"
4. "Kick Push/Kick Push II"
5. "He Say She Say"

Best Rapper Verse for Verse

Eminem a.k.a Slim Shady

Yeah I Said it. Slim Muthafuckin Shady. In my book him and Jay-Z are 1 and 2.... obviously very debatable. I think verse for verse Em takes the crown. His flow is absolutely unmatched, and you can tell(at least from his earlier projects) that he puts all of his emotion into his music. His multi-syllabic flow in particular can't be fucked with by other mainstream artists. The fact that he's the only rapper that can say he has two diamond albums says something too. You can attribute that fact to the white audience he attracts, but NIGGAS still listen to him. I'm talkin still have spinners on their car but will still kill you and your family ass niggas. Anyway I'd like to only put a bar or two but I'd like you all to realize some of the craziness he spits. In "Hellbound" he continues the multi-syllabic trend, stating

"Yo.. I'll fuckin.. I'll..
I'll puke, eat it, and freak you (eww)
Battle? I'm too weeded to speak to
The only key that I see to defeat you
would be for me to remove these two Adidas and beat you
and force feed you 'em both, and on each feet is a cleat shoe
I'll lift you off your feet so fast with a roundhouse
you'll think I pulled the fuckin ground out from underneath you
(Bitch!) I no fuckin Gee, I'm a cannibal
I ain't tryin to shoot you,
I'm tryin to chop you into pieces and eat you
Wrap you in rope and plastic, stab you with broken glass
and have you with open gashes strapped to a soakin mattress
Coke and acid, black magic, cloaks and daggers (ahhh!)
Fuck the planet, til spins on a broken axis
I'm so bananas I'm showin up to your open casket
to fill it full of explosive gasses
and close it back with a lit match in it
while I sit back and just hope it catches
Blow you to fragments
Laugh roll you and smoke the ashes"

Don't act like that's too long of a verse to read either. I know he catches flak regarding his crazy subject matter or lack  thereof but fact of the matter is he can rap circles around 90% of Rappers today. If you haven't already heard, check out some of his top songs-

1. "The Way I Am"(His best song IMO)
2. "Stan"
3. "Sing For the Moment"
4. "Lose Yourself"
5. "'97 Bonnie and Clyde"

Again these are my opinions so if you disagree guess what? Nobody cares.... Aiight I'm only hittin yall with two categories today....If you read the entire post thank you it's much appreciated as i know reading is a task for most of you New niggas.

Until Next Time,

-Brey

"FOH" The Lil Wayne Edition

First and foremost, Weezy, i just wanna say that I do not appreciate nor do i accept this half ass apology you let loose through these internet streets last week...C'mon b you way to deep in the rap game to be releasing mixtapes that niggas dont even wanna bump when they're drunk. If you don't know what im referring to then here is the link.....
Actually nah i cant even do...no way ima distrubute this struggle mixtape to the fans on the site...nope wont have that on my conscious...
But to get back at the matter at hand...Weezy has been in the game since Clinton was president...there is no way this nigga can think of this as an acceptable mixtape...no way. In no way am I saying weezy was one of the best in the game, lets get that clear, but I heard No Ceilings tho...that was the only album displayed on my ipod for damn near 5 months b...thats all the streets wanted from you Dwayne. Niggas knew you were far past the "Hustler Musik" and "Money on My Mind" Carter 2 days...and even accepted it, and then you pull a stunt like this... Sound like you went into the booth at like 9 am, and finished the whole tape in time to watch Maury, c'mon son...you sorry for the wait? Well Mr. Carter, im sorry for the listen. Niggas woulda been fine if you woulda just waited and let out some quality work, but instead u give us this. Upon hearing Grove St. Party I immediately chucked my homies ipod out the sun roof out of fury. You owe the streets a sincere apology. If this is all you have to offer Mr. Carter...then im afraid i have to say no thank you.
Niggas know the real reason why Wayne's recent music has been finding itself in the recycling box of laptops across the world..
Im not tryna sound like an advocate for drugs or anything, but yo if you think Wayne should stay off drugs for the sake of his well being then i cant fuck with you morally.

In damn near every track on no ceilings you hear this nigga Tunechi spark up another blunt of the ganja...that immediately let niggas know that he was about to spit nothing less than pure flames on the track. Nigga got on probation and had to drop the weed, liquor syrup and dignity. Lemmie tell you like this tho Dwayne...if you dont start mixing the purp wit the sprite again real soon you find yourself heading down the same road as Ja Rule b ( -̩̩̩͡˛ -̩̩̩͡ ) ( -̩̩̩͡˛ -̩̩̩͡ ) ( -̩̩̩͡˛ -̩̩̩͡ )  in fact...if YM knew any better, niggas would just slip some syrup in your drinks on some hangover shit...im chillin' tho. So get this mixtape the fuck outta here Lil Wayne..and fuck you too YM for allowing this shit. Im done for now...you got till the Carter 4 tho.
Oo yea, and expect to see Lil B's verse on Grove St. Party on the first post of "Struggle Bars" Tomorro...thats my homie but this must be done
Thanks for everyone thats fuckin wit the blog...and always remember...if ya homie not tryna go to the Y and ball wit you, he prolly smashing your queen #Fact
